Spotify sporadically turns sound into white noise and keeps it there

I am using pipewire and have tried both with and without pipewire-pulse installed (not sure if spotify is using pulse at all).
Sometimes Spotify can play for an hour or so and then suddently the sound just turns to very load white noise and it will stay like that until I close spotify and restart pipewire-pulse
systemctl --user restart pipewire-pulse

When this happens, any sound will be white noise, also from youtube through Chromium.
I don't see any errors in the pipewire or the pipewire-pulse logs.
I have tried adding my user to the rtkit group and enabling the rtkit service, but it hasn't changed this behaviour.

I think it also happens with other apps than Spotify, but this is the only one that I keep open for hours. Any ideas what to try next?

If you are using a USB sound card, it could be related to this https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire … ssues/2619

Thanks, yes, it seems like this is the same bug. I am using the Apple usb-c dongle.
