Error when installing Macaulay2

When building Macaulay2 I get the following error(s):

/usr/bin/install: cannot create directory ‘/home/my-name/macaulay2/src/M2/M2/usr-host/bin’: File exists

How do I fix this? Removing the file bin and rerunning it does not change anything. Removing everything and starting from anew also not.
