Cant play DVD's

I keep getting told that i don't have sufficient codecs to play dvd's, i have the gstreamer files for dvd read and one other, rebooted and still cant play DVD's, what am i missing?

pacman -Ss codecs

will tell you a bit
also make sure you have

pacman -Q libdvdcss

codecs-20061022-1: is up to date

Any more ideas?

have you tried any other players

mplayer

Totem:

Totem cannot play this type of media (DVD) because you do not have the appropriate plugins to handle it.

For totem you need:
gstreamer0.10-mpeg2dec
gstreamer0.10-dvdread
gstreamer0.10-a52dec (for AC3 sound)
gstreamer0.10-mad (for MP3 sound)

Ok so on mplayer i have made some progress....

I can get a dvd to play, but with no sound....

And one of my dvds wont play, an example is shown:
