Intel NUC 11 - active HDMI digital audio, but no sound

Been using for a couple of months, with analog output.
Now tried with TV via HDMI. The device is detected, sound level indicator is active during playback, but no sound heard.

Got

ALSA
PulseAudio
sof-firmware

all installed and running.

Also got numerous setting profile, including

Digital Stereo (HDMI)
Analog Stereo

HDMI audio, as described, gives all visual signs of fine operation, but no sound.

Model NUC11PAHI5 (Panther Canyon). BIOS upgraded to the last version.
Kubuntu 22.04 LTS - same picture as on Arch.
Works fine on Windows 11.

Re: Intel NUC 11 - active HDMI digital audio, but no sound

From related topics - so far a I conclude - this is a matter of NUC architecture, not considered in Linux audio drivers.
5 or 6 gen Linux kernel doesn't make difference.
