Battery marked as absent by dmesg

I recently installed arch on my HP 13 aq1013dx and while it has been fun, I am unable to view my battery life. I have tried updating firmware, using upower, powerdevil, several reboots, and switching to lts. In order to install the firmware, I made a dual boot of windows, and I can still view the battery life on there.

This is the result of

 sudo dmesg | grep -i battery 

[    1.140308] ACPI: battery: Slot [BAT0] (battery absent)

Is there anything under /sys/class/power_supply/?

Please post the full system journal for a single boot, preferably as brief as possible.
