GRUB with remote configuration?

What I'd like is to receive at least 'default' choice or even a full GRUB configiuration from a remote host. I've found this:

but it is as enigmatic as Richelieu from behind the tapestry ;-) If someone has done it and achieved a running configuration I'd really appreciate some more detailed step-by-step tutorial. Thanks in advance!
