[Solved] KDE, Monitors not switching off/immediately turning on again

Hello.

I want my monitors to turn off when the system is idle. I have set the values in the KDE System settings but they are not working as expected. The monitors do switch off but almost instantly wake up again. When I boot the machine and do nothing, so the SDDM login prompt is idle, the monitors turn off and stay off, so something in the active session causes that behavior. I have absolutely no idea how to diagnose this.

Does anyone know how to diagnose this?

Here is a screenshot of the KDE settings:

Thank you for your time!

Edit/Solution: I tried a lot, ranging from adding ACPI related kernel lines to messing with the xorg configuration like its 1999. In the end all I really had to do was to deactivate KScreen2. If anybody else runs into this problem, try disabling KScreen2 from 'System Settings' -> 'Startup and Shutdown' -> 'Background services'.
