Does anyone know what intel processors, I3, I5,I7,I9  work with the newest arch kernel? Is there a arch wiki page that someone can send me? ... thanks Vic

Looking for a list, is there a link I can find that info? The arch wiki stops at core duo, I might be missing something or no docs on it? thanks

Re: What intel processors work with the newest arch kernel

All 64-bit Intel CPU's are supported which is pretty much any chip made in the last couple of decades.
You can see if a CPU is 64-bit or not by looking it up in the Intel Ark database...

This is the issue. I set up Archlinux on a ssd 500gb external usb3. externally on my music studio computer: Asus 560 mobo and 15-11400 gpu 730. I could not get Pipewire to work with HDMI at all, all other devices worked fine, headphone, lineout and Presonus Audiobox usb all at the same time, Pulseautio worked fine before pipewire install.
I took that 500gb ssd to another computer a dell opti 3050 I5-6500 gpu 530, Pipewire worked with HDMI and all the other device output perfectly.  What gives... SO i was told to change the kernels.. I went from 5.1.. to 6.1... same issue with each on the I511400 computer, pipewire not working... all kernels work with the Dell i5-6500 computer... Not the Studio computer...why? I dunno, doens't make sense. I went to the intel support for open source and no issues there...

Now Win 11 ASIO, works great with HDMI... so frustrating...anyways Its not the 10 kernels, I tried, all kernels worked with the Dell.  I was thinking drivers but Intel has no issues... so that's why I asked a question on here... if anyone knows, that would be great... thanks Vic

Re: What intel processors work with the newest arch kernel

HDMI audio issues are almost always related to the videochip, I suggest you start  a new thread.

In the opening post include the output of

$ lspci -knn

.

Also state what graphics environment you're using (x , wayland, arcan to name a few ) , WM, DE, compositor and such .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Re: What intel processors work with the newest arch kernel

a) you actually have an older thread on this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=282882
b) "Now Win 11 ASIO, works great with HDMI" - no it doesn't. Nothing works "great" w/ HDMI. It may "work", but not "great". HDMI is shit.
That being said: 3rd link below, mandatory.

Been using the Win 11 for over a year now with Protools and Cakewalk... no issues with the HDMI audio,  works fine,  sorry you feel that way...
On the Dell 3050 older hardware works get... Interesting... thanks for the info...
