xdg-open http://some-valid-url.com opens 3 tabs in a browser

For some reason invoking 

xdg-open http://some-url.com

in the shell or from some script opens three tabs in a browser if it is already opened (when it isn't then only one tab is opened after browser itself has opened).

I'm on wayland and using sway WM. My default browser is opera.

$ xdg-settings get default-web-browser
opera.desktop

$ xdg-mime query default x-scheme-handler/http
opera.desktop

$ xdg-open "http://www.google.com"

Seems like opera is the problem. The issue doesn't happen with chromium

I don't see anything weird. And i don't have anything that change it in the `~/.local/share/applications`.

For now i just switched to vivaldi. The reason i even use opera - it is the only one mainstream browser which support changing of keybindings, has good support of dark theme, and supports adding ad blocking extension (ublock) and as a plus sometimes i need simple vpn/proxy connection to get access to some blocked resources. Vivaldi support changing/disabling key bindings too, has a little bit worse dark theme support and seems like bloated to me (doesn't have simple vpn access too). Other than that it seems fine, doesn't have this issue so i will keep using it for now.

No, unfortunately that looks pretty standard, but 

xdg-open: no method available for opening 'http://www.google.com'

would suggest *some* sort of problem.
