GNOME global search does not accept special characters in my language

I might have found a bug in Arch Linux which doesn't register like one.

So I have noticed that when ever I search for file names in my native language, the global search does not show them. I have also noticed that the global search does not accept special characters. The shell has my language installed and displays correctly. The inputs are selected to my language.

This only happens to dead-key presses in my language.

I fired up Fedora in a VM, made two files in different folders in Icelandic, and the global search there worked fine (e.g. accepted special characters made by dead-keys).

I had an issue at GNOME shell development with better description and a short video of the problem at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-sh … ssues/6257

To fix this issue `ibus-libpinyin ` is needed, and system reboot.

This seems only affect Arch and Arch derivatives.

Just wanted to notify about this problem of mine and let others know.
