How do I get mplayer working with lirc? SOLVED

I remember with Gentoo, it was pretty easy. I added the USEflag for lirc once, and everything that possibly could use lirc used it.
I have no idea how to do it in Arch, especially since the article in the wiki only covers Xine. It would be especially awesome to find a way to do it that I don't have to redo the next time I update mplayer.
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems reinstalling the damn thing was enough to get it to "see" the lirc package. That's actually even easier than it used to be on Gentoo. Cool!
