I recently reinstalled Windows, the only issue is I over wrote my linux partition. Is there any way to recover my files/partition or am I screwed?

What exactly do you mean by "over wrote my linux partition"
As long as you don't write into the sectors where the data is, the data remains there.
So if you just altered the partition table and deleted the linux partition and maybe attached it to the windows partition, but windows didn't write anything there, your data is sitting there, waiting for you.
If you created an NTFS filesystem on the linux partition and had windows copy itself there, things are dire.
You *might* be able to reconstruct the linux FS from an alternative superblock and you *might* still have *some* data untouched.
If you only nuked the root partition w/ the OS, a re-installation will be much easier than trying to fix the OS from the residual fragments (iff any)
If you nuked your $HOME and don't have backups, you can prey that testdisk or photorec might be able to recover some of it - but you likely got hit by a screwdriver.

I was able to recover some files with testdisk. Thanks
