Almost 1.5GB for a login manager is a bit high... and value keep increasing over time.
Is this a known issue?
Is there something i can do to debug further or do you have a different login manager to suggest, given that i'm using kde?
Thanks.

DM and DE are independent, it doesn't matter what DE you use.
Do you require a DM itfp? How many users use this system?
Did you file a bug against SDDM?
Are other long running QML/GL/any processes affected?

In the wiki i've read that sddm is preferred for kde, maybe just for integration purposes...
I switch user from time to time, so i need a dm, and no bug filled by now, maybe i'll do it, but probably i'll just switch to something lighter.
Other GL processes seems unaffected, and plasma-desktop (qml) doesn't seem to be affected either.

Well, switched to Lightdm since 5 days and it sits consuming about 60MB.
I consider this SOLVED somehow.
