Hi,
I am trying to remember what I did yesterday that may have prevented the VPN from working, I remember that I created an ethernet bridge, and then deleted it and " yay -Syu" and installed:
sudo pacman -Sy base-devel cmake extra-cmake-modules pkg-config ninja libfreetype sdl2 libpng lib32-openal rtmidi faudio qt5-base qt5-xcb-private-headers qt5-tools libevdev vulkan-devel
31/1/23 8:47 AM NetworkManager <info> [1675118861.9794] vpn[0x55ec65708860,192ad32a-2cbc-4fd7-99f5-aaae3df32f30,"my_expressvpn_australia_-_brisbane_udp"]: starting openvpn

I have uninstalled OpenVPN and the NetworkManager plugin and re-installed them.
Re-created the VPN.
Not sure what else to try.
Regards,
Craig

Yep, that was it, thank you.
Just so people know.
I'm using XFCE and Network Manager is in the Tray near the time.
Here is what I did:
- Right click on Network Manager in the Tray
- Select "Edit Connections"
- Double click or select the VPN and click the 3 verticle lines next to + - buttons to edit.
- VPN tab is usually selected, if not select it.
- Scroll down to the bottom to "Advanced" Click on that.
- Click on the "Security" tab
- Un-tick the "Use custom size of cipher key"
- Click "Apply"
