Kde Plasma - desktop icons gone after last updates

After last updates my desktop icons are gone, i can see wallpaper and bottom panel but i cannot start any app from panel or kickoff menu..
Launching apps from Krunner works fine. I also created new clean user and plasma workspace is launching without any issues so it looks that its something wrong with my config.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 6.1.10-lqx1-1-lqx (64-bit)

Sometimes there are issues in updating the icon cache after big changes, does running a

kbuildycoca5 --noincremental

fix things?

I had the same, in addition, my dmesg was spammed with

__vm_enough_memory: pid: 1000, comm: plasmashell, no enough memory for the allocation

although only 1.3GB of my 32GB were used and everything launched from dolphin or terminal ran without issues.

For me, renaming plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc in ~/.config, restarting plasma twice and setting up the things saved in that file again was the only way to get it working again.

I did that after I tested with a newly created user and inside that, everything was working fine, so something inside my regular user had to be faulty.

That helped, thanks. It did reset my desktop to defaults but looks like I don't have any other choice.
