[RESOLVED] Xorg doesn't start up

So I had my Arch which I did by following the installation guide, I installed xorg, sddm, and xfce, and it worked really well.

But I noticed that sddm was not starting up and just left a blinking cursor, so disabling sddm on boot and doing startx manually...

It gives an error.

Not only that, there is ZERO information on it apart from one mesa bug in 2020. I was using the properiatery nvidia drivers upto that point, so I switched to the mesa package instead. Same error. I enabled microcode updates on grub. Same error.

I can't post the full error here because I can't access the full logs from my computer since... it cant start firefox... however it says

 (EE) Illegal instruction at address 0x7f51efed6460 

...help? Please? I re-installed xorg with -Rcn like eight times at this point. (I also deleted xfce and sddm with -Rcn, those are currently uninstalled.)

I can't access the full logs from my computer since... it cant start firefox

1st link below, post the entire system journal and your xorg log.

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

Get rid of xf86-video-nouveau, you might also want to use nvidia and nvidia-utils instead of nouveau.

Uninstalled (-Rc) mesa, xf86-video-nouveau, installed nvidia, uninstalled (-Rcn) xorg along with that, reinstalled xorg (xorg + xorg-server + xorg-apps + xorg-xinit)  along with nvidia-utils and lib32-nvidia-utils, rebooted for good measure... startx STILL gives the same error- I don't think this is a driver thing.

EDIT: I am re-installing all packages, my hdd is quite old and corrupts stuff sometimes, so maybe this will fix it.
EDIT 2: Re-installing all packages fixed it!.. In hindsight I should have tried that from the beginning.
