compiz PKGBUILDs (compiz repo added!)

update to my problem:

Apparently if I switch to KDE, beryl works perfectly. Gnome on the other hand just doesn't want to work correctly. I'm not sure what to suspect now. Perhaps metacity/emerald isn't drawing the windows properly or perhaps nautilus is misbehaving.

Try setting wallpaper with something like nitrogen

i can't use metacity theme with 0.3.6 version...but with 0.3.4 it works....

updated a bunch of packages. See first post for more info.

@Brainwasher: try "gtk-window-decorator --replace --metacity-theme $THEMENAME"

Hi I've pacman -Suy yesterday 28-01-2006 and guess what? Compiz borked it no more auto starts although i have installed some tray app that auto starts Compiz. I have to start Compiz with compiz --replace gconf on a terminal to get it running and most plugins don't work it says something about different dates

compiz: can't load plugin 'crashhandler' because it is built for ABI version 20061227 and actual version is 20070125
compiz: Couldn't activate plugin 'crashhandler'
compiz: can't load plugin 'showdesktop' because it is built for ABI version 20061227 and actual version is 20070125
compiz: Couldn't activate plugin 'showdesktop'
compiz: can't load plugin 'resize' because it is built for ABI version 20070121 and actual version is 20070125
compiz: Couldn't activate plugin 'resize'

can anyone help?

I can't resize window with last git. Dos it work on yours ?

Update : I recompiled PKGBUILDS to last git and it works

Hi!

You mean you just used the AUR instead of repository?

I've been having problems resizing windows since last update, haven't got the extra plugins etc. No specific error msgs...

Even tried to remove compiz and only use beryl. Didn't work either

Yes I used the packages in ur to recompile. They are not all updated btw

Tried to do that, got some error when compiling the extra-plugins...

Doesn't matter though, I'll just wait for nightfrost to make an update

you don't need to recompile extra plugins. If you use gnome you only need to recompile compiz-core & compiz-gnome. Extra plugins works well here.

I think extra plugins should be patched for new dbus.
