Does anyone have any ideas why GStreamer takes up so much CPU? It seems all the jukeboxes I want to use require it (probably some good APIs) but I've got a 1.7ghz system and it's running 80-90% and skipping when I open firefox or fire up pacman. Any ideas? Optimizations or something? Ubuntu seemed to have some solution, don't know what it is though.

P.S. I posted a while ago about this problem, but this may be a bit more descriptive as I've narrowed it down to GStreamer. Is anyone else even having these problems?
