Fan speed control on Asrock 4x4-4000 series

Hi

I've bought the Tuxedo Nano with Ryzen 4500U, and it's been a really great box so far.

Just one gripe I have with it: with a light 3d workload, the fan keeps spinning up and down. It's not loud, but the constantly changing pitch is bothering me a bit. So I've tried to use the archwiki info to set it to medium rpm manually, but:

lm-sensors (sensors-detect) does not detect the fan. and this is kind of where I got stuck.

if anyone could help me with info on how it's possible to control this fan from within linux, i'd very much appreciate it. Tuxedo support was friendly but not helpful as they don't support arch, and from what it sounds like they don't even support setting fan speeds for the nano on their own tuxedoOS (kinda odd since they tout great linux compatibility but idk, maybe my expectations are unreasonable. i've e-mailed again to clarify this point).

Some questions:
- could the amdgpu driver contain something helpful? it's just an integrated graphics in the ryzen 4500u, but maybe?
- how can I find out exactly what chip is running the fan, or other info that might help me google this problem better? maybe there's a kernel out there that supports this?

if I can't solve it, i might just have to set the fan to constantly run at medium speed from within the BIOS, but that's a last resort for me.

Thanks for reading and any advice.
