New KDE Plasma not releasing display AMD GPU for OpenCL work

Just updated to the new version of Plasma.

I use my rig to mine in idle hours and both GPU would mine fine with OpenCL before update

Now after update the non display GPU will still mine, but the display GPU will no longer mine.

My guess is that some driver level action is keeping the display GPU either busy, or locked to one single task.

Any suggestions on how to get this back to normal?

I don't seem to have that particular package installed.

It is some kind of driver issue though.

I just uninstalled the old amdgpu-pro-install-fix that i had installed and updated it to the latest amdgpu-pro-install files.

Didn't fix the issue, but solved some conflicts.

I also rebuilt and reinstalled opencl-amd

one thing I noticed was this particular part of clinfo

NULL platform behavior
  clGetPlatformInfo(NULL, CL_PLATFORM_NAME, ...)  No platform
  clGetDeviceIDs(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_ALL, ...)   No platform
  clCreateContext(NULL, ...) [default]            No platform
  clCreateContext(NULL, ...) [other]              Success [MESA]
  clCreateContextFromType(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_DEFAULT)  No devices found in platform
  clCreateContextFromType(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_CPU)  No devices found in platform
  clCreateContextFromType(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_GPU)  No devices found in platform
  clCreateContextFromType(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_ACCELERATOR)  No devices found in platform
  clCreateContextFromType(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_CUSTOM)  No devices found in platform
  clCreateContextFromType(NULL, CL_DEVICE_TYPE_ALL)  No devices found in platform
        NOTE:   your OpenCL library only supports OpenCL 2.2,

Could opencl-mesa be in conflict with opencl-amd?

Edit: tried a run with each opencl driver installed independently. opencl-mesa by itself just doesn't work for either card. opencl-amd by itself just works exactly the same, only work done on the non display card.

Edit2: Tried rocm-opencl-runtime instead of opencl-amd, same issue. Only works on non display GPU

What exact cards are at play here? If your "display GPU" is too old for ROCM/the official AMDGPU stack then this could explain the issue. If have no issues here on a 6900 XT with opencl-amd and running Plasma at the same time. AMD has deprecated/removed support for some of the older GPU generations from their OpenCL stack.

Dual 6800's
Well a RX 6800 and an RX 6800 XT

I am starting to wonder if this is not a driver issue, but some program refusing to release the card. The programs see and acknowledge the driver for both cards, they just read the display card as unresponsive or dead. Which isn't the case as it is displaying the desktop.
