[solved] after upgrade, hangs on initrd

How can I check logs for this? Tried downgrading nvidia-dkms to 525. System won't boot hangs on mount points or initrd. No error displayed in the logs. Tried downgrading packages but can't figure out the problem. Rebuilt mkinitcpio and grub.

Edit: bad mkinitcpio hooks and reinstalling
