Something is wrong with .Xauthority file

Hey there, I recently reinstalled my arch system and it seems to have some problem running Xorg. I think the main problem is with .Xauthority file. When first time I installed the Xorg, compiled the dwm and started dwm with xinitrc it seems to have a error it was like

Authorization required but no authorization protocol specified.

but it started then after sometimes dmenu didn't worked but I had a terminal open when I tried to lauch firefox it had the same error

Authorization required but no authorization protocol specified. Can't open display

I belive it has something to do with .Xauthority file and search the internet for it . But nothing worked, I had similar issue with previous installation.

Also it fixes when I kill xorg but my hostname resets to default.

Re: Something is wrong with .Xauthority file

Lot's of random paraphrasing, little hard data. Post when reproducing the issue your xorg.log

sudo journalctl -b
stat ~/.Xauthority
hostnamectl

Judging by the last sentence you didn't set up a hostname, you should do so: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … e_hostname and post your .xinitrc, it likely lacks important stuff as mentioned in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xinit#xinitrc

And you did again?  Please click "edit" on your first post so that you can prepend [SOLVED] to the title now.
