I use a benchmark DAC3 HGC as a USB audio device.
After an update today with pacman -Syu
The system see's the device and plays to it, but nothing comes out the speakers.
I also have a receiver plugged in through HDMI and it works just fine.
After this update I also had an issue where on reboot the boot loader lost the file system.
i got it back by re running grub-mkconfig and reloading linux mkinitcpio.
But now my benchmark DAC will not play audio. Everything else will, but no the DAC.

Solved:
For some strange reason the update threw the DAC into mute without lighting up the mute LED
After power cycling DAC and finding mute LED illuminated, unmuted DAC and everything works now.
Very strange....
