vscode and ms-python

Similar problem to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=282518 but the solutions aren't working here.  Actually I have the same issue on my laptop and desktop, so I guess it's not unique to me.

The following message is in vscode's runtime status: editor/content is a proposed menu identifier. It requires 'package.json#enabledApiProposals: ["contribEditorContentMenu"]' and is only available when running out of dev or with the following command line switch: --enable-proposed-api ms-python.python

--enable-proposed-api ms-python.python makes no difference, and I'm using code-features-insiders.

Vscode with kde plasma;
