after update wifi disabled

hi all and good afternoon
this morning i updated a laptop, shortly after that i lost wifi network.
i have rebooted, shutdown and restarted , tried disabling networking and reinabling networking nothing seems to work.
i'm using arcolinux with openbox. 


 rfkill list all

That's a physical switch on the notebook. Maybe because of a hibernating windows (see the 3rd link below)

You didn't post the rfkill status, did you look at it?

any guidance would be perpetrated

If it's not windows and no HW switch, check the system journal for errors.

the computer is a hp dv4 .
there must be a short cut key i hit, but i can't find it .
so i pulled the battery and the cmos battery and that cleared it.
sorry to have broken the rules, i thought being it is a arch server might have more of a insight.
i will ask from now on linuxquestions.org
