just found it while looking for something to (possibly) replace thunar in my installation (mostly cause xfce-svn is borked) and i must say im really impressed. this is indeed a great file manager which combines all great features of all other ones (thunar nautilus even firefox with tabbed browsing) and i have yet to find a disadvantage besides being still in early development.
i really believe it needs more publicity
heres a screenshot cause the ubuntu ones on the site look horrible..
There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

Yer i agree it is a great file manager.
Are the icons working properly yet without running a DE?
The tabbed browsing is a major advantage.
Which is what keeps my from using nautilus.
Will be nice/compleat if they include samba support.

yes afaik all icons showproperly (tango icons)
its much faster than thunar which afaik also didnt have samba support.
also in advantages automounting media doesnt require pmount like it did for thunar
edit: only disadvantage i found til now in compare to thunar is that all debug msgs get printed on console which is rather irritating for me if there isnt an error

Looks nice but Thunar is still more usable - it has more options, view modes etc.
Anyone know how to enable opening directories with single mouse click (in PcmanFM)? I hate double clicking
