more than 1 graphical session

There is 1 thing I cannot do with Arch:
logon for a 2nd time (with another user-id) and then type

startx -- :1

I would expect a 2nd X session like all other linuxes I am used to. Arch freezes completely! Have to power down with the hardware button.

Does it work with you guys?

Yep, no problem.

What's your graphics card?

Re: more than 1 graphical session

It's a ATI Radeon (thinkpad R50p). I've had various other linuxes on that machine, never a problem.

Re: more than 1 graphical session

I have some problem with ATI X550 and new packages ati-fglrx 8.32.5-1
With pakages ati-fglrx...  8.31.5-2 don't freeze but don't work.
This is error code:

(WW) fglrx: no matching device section for instance (BUS ID PCI:4:0:1) found
(EE) fglrx: hardware has already blocked
(EE) AIGLX: screen 0 in not DRI capable

Any idea?

Re: more than 1 graphical session

Solved!
uninstall ati-fglrx drivers
&
install xf86-video-ati
