[SOLVED] Prime technology on Intel Arc GPU

The article about prime technology does not say anything about intel arc, will prime work on a laptop with an intel iGPU and an intel Arc graphics card?

Hello,

I ran into the same curiosity and through trial and error got prime working on Intel ARC by appending DRI_PRIME=1 before any program arguments.

I have a multi-gpu desktop setup where an AMD discrete gpu is the primary sink provider and the ARC as the secondary render offload provider.

Xf86-video-intel is not installed.

From my limted testing using intel_gpu_top as validation,

render offloading of OpenGL games worked fine.

A particular issue found relates to mpv where it could not find the intel hardware video accelaration driver when offloading videos.
