how do I make a feature request for a linux hook (encrypt)

so I thought that the encrypt hook was part of the cryptsetup package so I made this feature request: https://gitlab.com/cryptsetup/cryptsetup/-/issues/813

so what I wanted to do basically is ask for a feature request which is to shutdown the system after a given time that is configured by a kernel parameter

but the developer told me that this is a distro specific thing and I am now confused where can I put this feature request
yeah basically that's what I want
+ I have a question like can I add a kernel parameter from the encrypt hook like is it defined there

The hook is from the mkinitcpio project and you can make a bug report/feature request to it here: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … o/-/issues or on https://bugs.archlinux.org/ against the mkinitcpio package.
