[Solved] Getting logged out on every upgrade

I had this issue from some time but I thought it originated due to using an unofficial arch repository but since recently I have moved on to the official packages. I am still facing those issues.

Re: [Solved] Getting logged out on every upgrade

Xorg is crashing, likely another side effect of https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/77789.

Re: [Solved] Getting logged out on every upgrade

Check your xorg log for bogus evdev config files and remove them.

Re: [Solved] Getting logged out on every upgrade

Following from here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 7#p2096857

$ grep -R evdev /{etc,usr/share}/X11/xorg.conf*
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf:# Catch-all evdev loader for udev-based systems

/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-quirks.conf:        MatchDriver "evdev"

I didn't had any 45-evdev but 10-evdev

$ pacman -Qo /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf
error: No package owns /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf

Following is that file

#
# Catch-all evdev loader for udev-based systems
# We don't simply match on any device since that also adds accelerometers
# and other devices that we don't really want to use. The list below
# matches everything but joysticks.

Section "InputClass"

Removed that file above message could be used to recover if something failed.
