Impossible to login to Google

Arch GNOME 44 (but it also happened with GNOME 43)
I often see a popup inviting me to login to Google to synchronize the GNOME calendar.
I enter the email @gmail but there is no forward button to continue, if I press enter it crashes and nothing happens.

If I try from the GNOME online account I enter my Google mail as the user, press forward and nothing happens.
If I try de Epiphany the same thing happens.

A few months ago I had no problems and everything was working fine.

Re: Impossible to login to Google

I'm experiencing the same thing, although I'm access the google account login directly from within gnome settings > online accounts. When I run gnome-control-center --verbose, this is what I get in the terminal, not sure if it means anything? Basically I can enter my e-mail address, and then if I make the window larger I can see the Next button, but then it just freezes. (sorry i tried to post this as code but there's not line breaks).

Re: Impossible to login to Google

Quick update - I was able to get it to work when I switched to wayland.

Re: Impossible to login to Google

I confirm that the forward button appears by enlarging the window.

I also have similar output:

Re: Impossible to login to Google

A workaround - enable wayland, setup your google account, then switch back to X11 if you wish. Working on my end.d

Re: Impossible to login to Google

Today switched from X11 to Wayland (first time on this machine) and the problem solved, Google login with wayland work well (i have an RTX3070).
The system is very fast and responsive, I think I will always use Wayland from now on..

Re: Impossible to login to Google

If you don't wish to switch to Wayland this works fine with x11

WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 gnome-control-center

Re: Impossible to login to Google

Thanks. I guess I'll keep wayland, I'm pleasantly happy with its performance, (for now...) but it's nice to know it's possible to fix
