[SOLVED] WINE/Awesome: Window doesn't stay put when monitor goes off

I'm using the Awesome window manager which has virtual workspaces built into it and running a Windows native PDF viewer for studying called SumatraPDF. I leave this program open and on a specific tab in awesome but whenever I turn my monitor off, WINE moves the window to the current workspace that I turned my monitor off at. (Let's say for instance if WINE with Sumatra was open on Tab/Workspace 3, then I turn my monitor off and then when I turn it back on, WINE has this program open on workspace 2.) This is very agitating and I would like to know how to make it stick where I put it.

Is this just how WINE works or does it have something to do with my WM?

I don't know of any other tabbed PDF viewer on Linux that actually saves tabs and reopens them, sadly, not the way Sumatra does, unless someone else knows.

Any advice?

EDIT: This seems to be happening when I turn my primary, HDMI monitor on and off. What in the world? I use two monitors, I should mention. I wonder if it has something to do with that?

EDIT: I figured this out on my own. It turns out that this is a hardware issue related to me using the two monitors I mentioned and this is just how WINE behaves it seems. Tested on more than one computer.
