automatizing download of photos with canon rebel xs (1000D)

Hi,

I can download manually photos by running: gphoto2 --get-all-files.
I use pcmanfm and I have to manually find gphoto2 --auto-detect in order to open pictures in it. I then manually write gphoto2://[usb:006,011]

Is it possible to get this link automatically in pcmanfm?

Or could I write another script that automatically upload files in a specific directory (example: home/user/Photos/2023/20230508)? Is there script similar to this anywhere?

You want something to happen everytime you connect a certain digital camera (over usb)  to your system ?

Please elaborate on your goal.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
