[SOLVED] unable to scan for or connect to wifi networks

the wifi receiver was all fine and working on KDE, but with this fresh install, there are issues randomly. the wifi worked earlier and until suddenly i wasn't even able to bring the interface up. i then installed the relevant driver from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtw88-dkms-git, but again as you can probably notice, this package doesn't enjoy great reviews in the comments. i'm kinda lost but i believe there must be some firmware or configuration missing. i've tried my bit and i'm stuck.

relevant dmesg logs:

sudo dmesg | grep rtw

EDIT: for the moment, i tried uninstalling the rtw88-dkms-git package and the interface seems to work. i will mark this thread as solved for now but i know it will cause hiccups again.
