Hello,
I've just installed wine from extra and when I try to run winecfg I get :

I tried to get it from aur and make the package but I get the same problem.
Does anybody have a solution?
Thanks a lot

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem.
To start at the beginning of the story, I've had the wine-based port of google's picasa 2 on my laptop for a while, and it worked well, and then as of recently, it takes like 2 minutes of doing nothing to start up. Picasa includes its own wine binaries, so I installed wine from Arch's repo, trying stuff to see if it would help, and winecfg gave me the same problem.
Anyway, I didn't care enough to figure it out. However, I think that perhaps a kernel update broke wine or something.

... and works fine here, with my old .wine dir and when starting from scratch.

My problem is probably related to Picasa more specifically:
I recently deleted all of Picasa's settings and temp stuff, and the first configuration dialog came up immediately (looking exactly like a wine drawn dialog) but the rest of the application took a good minute (of no hard drive access or processor usage) to come up. So that's probably a picasa thing related to some new libraries or the kernel.

i first had this problem with wine-0.9.27-1, 0.9.28 was out at the time so i used abs to upgrade, which fixed the problem for me. today i upgraded to 0.9.29-1 as well as upgrading to xorg-server 1.1.1-6, and have the same problem. i removed 0.9.29-1, and tried putting 0.9.28 back on and it didn't fix it so it might have something to do with the xorg-server update..

update from my last post, i was able to fix the problem by adding Option "UseFastTLS" "2" under my card's device section. i'm using a thinkpad t60p with a firegl v5250, and from what i've seen here other firegl cards are affected as well.
