[SOLVED] GNOME - Screen Goes Blank & Never Returns

I have disabled screen-blank option in Settings -> Power -> Screen Blank  and Automatic Suspend is off too. But my screen goes blank after some time and no matter how many keys I press or use mouse, I can never get the desktop back. If there was YouTube or any other video file I was watching, it will either keep on playing (because I can hear the audio) or everything will just stop and there is nothing but blank screen. It's happening frequently. Latest pacman -Syu does not seem to help.

X11 or wayland?
For X11,

xset q | grep -iA3 dpms

Can you still switch to a different VT (and back)?
What kind of output is this (hdmi? tv?) and does the audio go there as well?

If you're also using GDM, see whether you can prevent DPMS w/ https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GDM#GD … ME_3.28.29

Last night's pacman -Syu resolved the problem :-)
