I installed arch on a macbook pro 2015 retina with a dedicated gpu: MacbookPro11,5 (MacBook Pro Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015 with AMD Radeon R9 M370X
Now, when I start Xorg with
startx
it is blurry and I can't read the text. I just see boxes and can guess what application it is.
I installed xorg-server, xorg-drivers, mesa, vulkan-radeon, gnome-shell.
I start gnome-shell as described in the wiki:
.xinitrc:
export XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11
export GDK_BACKEND=x11
exec gnome-session
There are no errors in the Xorg.0.log.
gnome-shell installs fonts by default, so I don't think I am missing fonts. ttf-dejavu is installed.
I also started the i3 window manager and it was as if I had no fonts installed with just small boxes and "blurry" visuals.
Input is working and I can open applications, but it's all blurry.
Edit: leaving this unsolved, but closing as solved
