For about 30 seconds after starting a display manager (I have tried sddm and gdm), my keyboard and mouse are not being recognized. I have tired booting with no display manager enabled, and I am able to log into the TTY and perform commands, but when I run 'sudo systemctl start sddm', the keyboard and mouse cease to function for about 30 seconds, like when I boot directly to a display manager. I cannot use CTRL+ALT+F2 to switch back to a TTY, and pressing Num Lock does not illuminate the Num Lock light on my keyboard. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know how to remedy it?
Thanks!

Please post your complete system journal for the boot:
sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.ioThere's https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=285796 but that' rather the session than the DM (or do you autologin?)

There seems to be about a ten-second jump in the logs, which was when I was unable to use my mouse or keyboard (normally it takes longer than 10 seconds). The jump is between 09:08:33 and 09:08:42.

Try the LTS kernel and/or to remove the steam controller and especially the logitech unifying receiver (use a $5 usb keyboard and mouse)

So I tried something I hadn't before and I got my setup working. It turns out that it is a bad USB Hub. Plugging the keyboard and mouse into another hub or directly into the computer solves the issue. I'm not sure how a bad hub could cause my inputs to stop working only for 30 seconds, but my setup is working now. Thanks for the help.
Removing the Steam Controller or Logitech receivers did not affect the issue.

Signal interference causing a jam? Broken things are broken.
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
