[SOLVED] Firefox takes a long time to launch in i3

When I boot into Arch and try to launch Firefox, it makes me wait for around 25 seconds and launches. After that when I go to another workspace as an example I get a loading cursor. Is there a way I can fix this?

# Details
I did the Arch Linux installation via archinstall with the minimal profile. I'm using Xorg as the display server and ly as the display manager. My bootloader is systemd-boot and I'm using the 6.3.4-zen kernel.

The problem started occurring after I installed i3-battery-popup-git and flatpak then rebooted. I have since uninstalled these packages to verify they are not the problem. Searched the internet and none of the solutions I saw worked.

Thanks.

Remove/replace xdg-desktop-portal-gnome with the -gtk variant
