KDE plasma-nm widget not updating connection status icon

I am currently running KDE Plasma and it seems that regardless of my connection status, the icon displayed in the panel remains as the unconnected icon. I am connecting to my wifi network, and despite successfully establishing the connection and having internet access, the icon doesn't update to reflect this status change.

plasma-desktop 5.27.5-1
networkmanager 1.42.6-1
plasma-nm 5.27.5-1

Any insight would be appreciated.

Quick sanity check.  What are the output of find /etc/systemd/system
?

I am checking that nothing else is fighting for control of the Network hardware.
