Battery Suddenly not charging, "Waiting to discharge"

Running latest Arch, latest Xfce4.

For some reason my battery isn't charging in arch. It will charge outside of Arch, as when my laptop is off you can hit any key to show the battery percentage, and it goes up over time. But when I'm in Arch, it isn't going up, right now it's stuck at 3% and it says "Waiting to discharge" in the Xfce4 power manager.

Laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 7i Pro.

I've tried holding down the power button when it's off but that didn't fix the issue.

i had this issue once that my thinkpad suddenly refused to charge.
i went in the firmware diagnostics menu und ran a quick battery check (resets charge thresholds) , while still in the uefi menu my thinkpad powered off. after that it was charging fine again.
it's worth a try

Thanks, I went into the firmware diagnostics (f10 on my system) but there was no batter option there unfortunately.

No idea whether that's supported by ideapads, but do you use https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Tp-battery-mode ?
