Adding non Steam game to library

Hi,
recently I reinstalled arch recently and Steam won't open thunar when trying to add a non-steam game and just do nothing, but when I tell it to browse the local files of a game it works no problem. I set the default file manager using xdg-open

Re: Adding non Steam game to library

Your file manager is not the file picker (which isn't thunar and vice versa) and irrelevant for this purpose.

Steam recently implemented file chooser selection via portals, so depending on which UI you want you can either opt for xdg-desktop-portal-gtk or xdg-desktop-portal-kde. Though if you are generally in a GTK environment I'd suggest the former.

Thanks, that clears it, I thought portals were used only for flatpaks and wayland
