Minecraft seems to affect all other windows (Firefox, Discord)

This only occurs when using 1.8.9 probably because of the mods.
Seems like the fullscreen option is what causing the problem. Watching htop minecraft didn't occupy my resources to limiting it down to only the Fullscreen option being turned on

Hardware:
i5-8400 6/6
RTX 2070
16GB ram @ 2666hz
SSD NVMe - (arch have 300 gigs of it)

Software:
arch linux ofc
gnome - x11
nvidia drivers
