Hello,
my System is: Thinkpad T460s and the according Docking Station. I use i3-wm and arandr/xrandr to set up my monitors. My system is bleeding edge, kernel and software wise.
When I plug a HDMI into the laptop itself I can set up my monitor how I would expect it.
However, when I connect a DP cable to my Docking station and put the laptop into it, Arandr/xrandr detect the monitor and I can actually activate and use it (if I move my
mouse into the other monitor it disappears, how you would expect). The external monitor itself appears to be stuck in power saving/it does not show any picture.
I tried configuring with dockd, it doesn't work.
All other posts I could find on Reddit/the wiki either:
1. are too old too work (I tried some script off reddit, but the post was 5 years old, and the script did not work, the script I deleted already)
2. say that the issue did not exist on older version of Arch, but came into life on later versions and then have been fixed.(Which is not the case).
Is there any workaround or is it just a issue I'll have to wait out?
