problems downloading koffice

I have used pacman many times and usually have no problems.

When i download some of the koffice packages (the large ones), pacman stops at 99%.
Hfter half an hour i pressed CTRL+C and tried again. it starts from 100%,101%,.... and stops at 199% (strange).
The same repeats many times. (I gave up at 400%).
This happened with 2 of the required for koffice files. One of them was koffice itself.

What causes this?
How to remove the junk files?
How to make a successful install?

Thank you.

Re: problems downloading koffice

You could switch to another mirror or try XferCommand, see /etc/pacman.conf.

Re: problems downloading koffice

Just uncomment the XferCommand line in /etc/pacman.conf. Then pacman won't use its internal routines and instead invoke wget for the download. Might help or not help but always worth a try.
