Font install not working properly Qtile

So i downloaded FiraCode Nerd font from the ]nerdfonts.com Website and extracted it into ~/.local/share/fonts/TTF
I then set my font in Kitty to "FiraCode Nerd Font" and it works with icons out of the box flawlessly.

But when I change my Group labels in qtile to icons, though shown in neovim it doesn't work in the bar. What am I missing?
