I have a minimal kde plasma installation on Arch mixed with bspwm.
I have a 1080p, 144Hz, DVI monitor.
I wanted to scale my monitor to a widescreen resolution for gaming.
I tried some ways, this i used: xrandr --output DVI-I-1 --scale 1.25x1
It sucessfully scaled but my wallpaper, tasbar wont scale to it.
My windows successfully open at the right res, or fullscreen.
But it dont know why desktop wont scale correctly, what should i do?

I tried installing kscreen, it didn't detect my current resolution.

If anything, plasmashell will likely respond to a kscreen daemon message, "tried installing kscreen" sounds like you don't run plasma w/ a different WM but simply the plasmashell process in some bspwm session.
You might have to restart plasmashell in order to have it apply the new geometry - you can also try to resize the window w/ xdotool.

Sorry for late reply, i was close to sleep. Soo i tried and it worked!
I killed then runned the plasmashell and it now scales well, probably it was only bspwm who responded to my xrandr. I will also gonna try that tool too, it looks fun. Soo much thanks for your help. Nice to see your helpful since 2012 ![]()
btw i wanto mark my question as solved, how can i do that?

Edit your first post (this will allow you to edit the title) and add [SOLVED] (you may need to shorten the title a bit first).
See "How to post" linked in my sig.
