Bluetooth not refinding device

Hello, I have an Xbox Series S controller for my PC running Arch Linux 6.4.3-arch1-1 . I installed the xpadneo drivers and am primarily utilizing KDE's Bluetooth tool.

Sometimes my controller is found instantly, but commonly after forgetting the device, my PC doesn't want to list the controller in the list of available devices.

I have to forget the controller every time I want to change it between my laptop and PC. Unfortunately, restarting Bluetooth services or even the PC itself doesn't seem to fix it. It just works when it wants to.

Any ideas how I can fix this? I just want to play some Elden Ring dammit lol.

Edit: For further context, forgetting the device doesn't seem to remove the bluetooth cache in /var/lib/bluetooth, which upon deletion and restarting seems to have resolved my issue. Though now, I'm wondering if there's a way I can prevent this from happening in the first place?

Re: Bluetooth not refinding device

Copy the /var/lib/bluetooth contents from one of the two systems to the other. That way your controller only needs to know about "one" device and doesn't need to forget things. Caveat being you probably don't want BT on the PC and laptop being active at the same time or the world will implode.

From a principality perspective, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blueto … ot_pairing
