Kodi subtitles missing after update

Hi there.

Got a box here with kodi installed on it, I use it mainly for storage and as a media-center.
After a full system update yesterday, any of the subtitles are not showing up anymore. Checked all the settings, everything is set up as it should be.
I've already deleted the whole /var/lib/kodi folder and started a blank setup, nothing changed.
It is kodi only, mpv for example has subs as it should.

Nothing strange in the logs.
Posted here, as it happened after my arch update.

Any help is appreciated.
