[SOLVED] Steam Won't Start

Hello, I wanted to mention a recent issue I had with steam that I was able to solve by removing  xdg-desktop-portal-gtk and xdg-desktop-portal-gnome

I was getting errors like this:

Sometimes just trying it again would get it to start but uninstalling these two packages got things working for me:  xdg-desktop-portal-gtk xdg-desktop-portal-gnome

I was trying out different DEs a while back which may explain why both were installed, not sure, but now steam opens quickly with no problem.

Had the same issue uninstalling the *xdg-desktop-portal-gnome* worked.  Thanks for the help.
